Building on Faith
BGBC Capital Drive
This project is about more than improving a building, it is about stewarding and cultivating space for ministry to flourish for generations to come. As our church continues to grow and serve the community throughout the week, our facilities are operating at high capacity. Classrooms are crowded with storage, ministry spaces are stretched, and the need for secure, functional, and welcoming environments continues to increase. This drive is centered on faithful stewardship of what God has entrusted to our church: people, ministries, resources, and opportunities to serve others well. Our Elder, Deacon, and Deaconess boards have spent more than a year of prayerful discussion and planning of the proposal of two major projects designed to enhance ministry and steward the resources God has entrusted to us. To better serve our church body and community, our Deaconess board initiated a vision for a significant remodel of the Fellowship Hall. As the heart of our community life, this space has held our most meaningful memories since day one. Our goal is to ensure it remains a welcoming environment for outreach, shared meals, and special events by adding a new entryway, larger windows, and updated flooring and lighting. Complementing this remodel is the construction of a new exterior garage. This addition has been a need for some time; it will protect our church vehicles and equipment while providing a dedicated storage location. By moving these items into a functional, oversized garage, we will clear our classrooms and hallways of clutter, making our main building more usable for ministry. By improving and expanding our ministry spaces, we are investing in: discipleship and teaching, hospitality and fellowship, ministry preparation and security, support for families, children, and students, community gatherings, weddings, funerals, and events, safety and security of church resources, and long-term sustainability for future generations. Every room in our church building should be fully available for ministry, discipleship, and care — not limited by overcrowding, lack of flow, or insufficient space. This is not about building for comfort. It is about building for ministry capacity. Through this project, we are faithfully preparing our church to continue serving people, strengthening community, and creating space for life-changing ministry for years to come.

The contractor performing these services has quoted and agreed on a total cost of 400,000 (including permits, taxes, and all other fees). To fund this, our capital campaign goal is to raise $300,000, which will be combined with $100,000 from our capital reserves. The boards have agreed that once we have $300,000 in hand and the remainder fully pledged, we can officially break ground. This campaign will officially start on May 31, 2026, and will run for one year or until the campaign goal is met. We ask that you prayerfully consider how you might contribute to this vision through a gift that is above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. While our weekly giving sustains our daily operations, these "over-and-above" gifts allow us to specifically invest in the care and expansion of the home God has provided for us. Whether your gift is large or small, every contribution is a vital brick in this shared foundation of faith.
Thank you for your faithfulness as we take this next step together.
